勇敢追夢：共和世代的音樂人生
Whether you’ve heard them on the radio, in a movie, or out shopping, chances are you know about OneRepublic. Since their catchy 2007 hit, “Apologize,” OneRepublic’s mix of rock and pop has made them one of the biggest bands of the twenty-first century.
Friends Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins started their rock band back in 2002 in Colorado, US, and later moved to Los Angeles. There, Eddie Fisher, Brent Kutzle, and Drew Brown soon joined them. Each member brings their own style and talents, which helps make OneRepublic’s music unique and interesting. Their first studio album, Dreaming Out Loud, was a big success, and it wasn’t long before they became a household name.
Part of the reason behind OneRepublic’s ongoing popularity is songs that resonate with listeners. OneRepublic’s songs tell stories about life, dreams, and hope, so many young people can relate to their music. Many of the band’s songs were written by lead singer Ryan. His talent as a songwriter is hard to deny—he has even written songs for Beyoncé, Adele, and Taylor Swift.

Songs like “Counting Stars,” “Apologize,” and “Secrets” have long made OneRepublic’s music a key feature on radio stations and personal playlists. With six studio albums to their name, OneRepublic has stolen the hearts of fans, old and new. 
Their latest album, Artificial Paradise, includes the song “I Ain’t Worried” from the film Top Gun: Maverick. It became an immediate hit, and even Tom Cruise predicted that it would be a huge summer song for at least 20 years. So far, he has been proven right, as the song became the band’s second song—after “Counting Stars”—to reach more than 2 billion streams on Spotify. In addition, with 52.1 million monthly listeners on the platform, OneRepublic is sure to beat even more records.
Fans in Taiwan can look forward to the band’s fourth return to the island when they perform at Kaohsiung Arena on December 19. They have performed twice in Taipei before and once in Kaohsiung, which clearly shows the love between the band and Taiwan is mutual.
〈數星星〉、〈道歉〉 與 〈祕密〉 等歌曲長期以來讓共和世代的音樂成為廣播電台與個人播放清單中的熱門曲目。 憑藉六張錄音室專輯，共和世代擄獲了新舊歌迷的心。
他們的最新專輯《人造天堂》收錄了電影《捍衛戰士：獨行俠》中的歌曲〈無憂無慮〉。這首歌迅速爆紅，甚至連湯姆．克魯斯都預言它將會是一首至少流行二十年的夏日金曲。到目前為止，他的預言已被證明是對的，因為這首歌已成為繼〈數星星〉之後，該樂團第二首在Spotify上播放量突破二十億次的歌曲。此外，共和世代在該平台的月收聽人數高達五千兩百一十萬，勢必還會打破更多紀錄。
臺灣的歌迷可以期待，樂團將於十二月十九日第四度來臺、在高雄巨蛋開唱。過去他們曾兩度在臺北、一次在高雄演出，足見樂團與臺灣之間的情誼是雙向的。
