This book will develop the basic form of renormalized field theories as specified in the subtitle and leads to the important consequences and questions to be solved. The topics covered include Regge parametrization, classification of elementary particles, symmetry of baryons and mesons, unified interactions of leptons and hadrons, as well as nongravitational local gauge field theories and others. In the commentaries, the author discusses how the selected papers accumulated from 1966 contributed to our present improved state of knowledge as well as the emergent questions which remain as problems to be eventually assessed in the future.
