Pulses provide valuable products for animal feeding and thereby indirectly contribute to food security. These by-products are sources of protein and energy for animals and do not compete with human food. This publication aims to promote the use of pulses and their by-products in regions where many pulse by-products are simply dumped, but it also contains useful recommendations for countries that do already use pulse by-products. The publication will be of interest to extension workers, researchers, the feed industry, policy-makers and donors alike.
