Dr. Tuhin Subhra Santra received his PhD degree in Bio-Nano Electro Mechanical Systems (Bio-NEMS), especially for single cell analysis from the Institute of Nanoengineering and Microsystems (NEMS), National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan in 2013, under the supervision of Professor Fan-Gang Tseng. Dr. Santra joined as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Madras India in 2016. Dr. Santra was a Post-Doctoral researcher at the California Nano System Institute (CNSI), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA. His main research areas are Single Cell Technology, bio-NEMS, MEMS, bio-micro/nano fabrication, biomedical microdevices, nanomedicine. Dr. Santra serves as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Micromachines, AIMS Biophysics, Sensors Journal, Journal of Molecules, International Journal of Molecular Science, Sensors and Transducers Journal, American Journal of Nanoresearch and Application, among others. Dr. Santra has received many awards such as the NTHU outstanding student award in 2011 and 2013, IEEE-NEMS best conference paper award in 2014, best poster award at 15th Nano/Microsystem Conference in 2012, Junior Research Fellowship at IIT-Kharagpur in 2008, outstanding student awards at NTHU and Jadavpur University in 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2012, silver medal from Vidyasagar University in 2004. Dr. Santra has published more than 15 international journal papers, has two US and Taiwan pending patents, three books, seven book chapters, six proceedings and 25 International Conference papers in his research field.Dr. Fan-Gang (Kevin) Tseng received his PhD in Microelectro Mechanical System (MEMS) from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA (UCLA), under the supervision of Professor C-M. Ho and C.J. Kim. Dr. Tseng joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering and System Science, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in August 1999. Currently he is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Engineering and System Science (ESS). He has also been a Deputy Director of the Biomedical Technology Research Center, National Tsing-Hua University since 2009. Further, he is also an affiliated Professor at the Institute of Nanoengineering and Microsystems (NEMS), National Tsing Hua University and a Research Fellow in Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Dr. Tseng focuses his research in the following areas: MEMS, bio-MEMS, nano-biotechnology, nanomedicine, fuel cell, MEMS packaging, and integration. Dr. Tseng has been on the Editorial Board of Applied Sciences from 2010, the Journal of Circuits and Systems from 2010, the Open Micromachine Journal from 2009, the Open Nanomedicine Journal from 2008, the MEMS special issue, Electronic Magazine from 2009, the Chinese Micro Electromechanical System magazine in 2002 and 2004. He was the editor of a book entitled "Micro Electromechanical System Technology and Applications", published by the Precision Instrument Development Center of National Science Council, in 2003. Dr. Tseng was elected an ASME fellow in 2014, and received several awards, including Outstanding in Research Awards (2010 and 2014) and Mr. Wu, Da-Yo Memorial Award (2005) from MOST, Taiwan, National Innovation Award in 2014, nine Best Paper/Poster awards (1991, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014), among others. He has received 40 patents, written eight books/book chapters, published more than 200 SCI Journal papers and 350 conference technical papers in biosensors, bio-N/MEMS, micro fuel cells, and micro/nano fluidics related fields, and coorganized or co-chaired many conferences including IEEE MEMS, IEEE NEMS, IEEE Transducers, Micro TAS, ISMM, IEEE Nano, and IEEE Nanomed.
