Clint Brownlee studied English Literature and Creative Writing at Northern Arizona University, and dabbled in screenwriting before jumping into professional copywriting and spare-time music journalism. He has lived in the Seattle area for nearly two decades, and writes about "grunge"-era bands and artists. His intense interest in that specific genre has led to interviews and relationships with artists and allies of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and other contemporary acts-which his thermal-and-flannel-wearing high-school self would never believe. His freelance work has appeared in Seattle Weekly, Northwest Music Scene, Vashon-Maury Beachcomber, Sound Magazine, and others.
