Jennifer Wingate is Associate Professor of Fine Arts at St. Francis College, USA. She co-edits Public Art Dialogue and is the author of Sculpting Doughboys: Memory Gender, and Taste in America’s Worlds War I Memorials (2013). Jennifer’s research on representations of the domestic display of FDR portraits will appear in Winterthur Portfolio.
Sierra Rooney is a PhD candidate at Stony Brook University, USA. Her dissertation examines the growing corpus of contemporary public statues dedicated to historic American women. Her writing has appeared in the journals Public Art Dialogue and De Arte, the anthologies, Artists Reclaim the Commons and Museums and Public Art. Harriet Senie is Professor of Art History and Director of the MA program in Art History and the Art Museum Studies track at City College (CUNY), USA. She also teaches at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is the author of Memorials to Shattered Myths: Vietnam to 9/11 (2015); Dangerous Precedent? The Tilted Arc Controversy (2001); and Contemporary Public Sculpture: Tradition, Transformation, and Controversy (1992).
