James Naremore is the Chancellors’ Professor Emeritus, Media School, English, and Comparative Literature at Indiana University, USA. He is the author of More Than Night: Film Noir in its Contexts, awarded the Kraszna-Krausz International Moving-Image Book Award, 2000 and a commendation of the Kovacs Book Award committee, Society for Cinema Studies, 2000; On Kubrick (BFI Publishing, 2007), shortlisted for the Kraszna-Krausz Book Awards, and Sweet Smell of Success (2010) in the BFI Film Classics series.
