Born in 1965 in Narbonne, France, Gérard Bertrand grew up in his family’s vineyards. A committed winemaker, deeply attached to the terroirs of the Languedoc and Roussillon, Bertrand now owns 16 wine estates (Châteaux and Domaines). In 2002, Bertrand made the move toward biodynamic viticulture, which is now practiced in all his vineyards. Very active within the winemaking sector and an enthusiastic ambassador of his region, he encourages change and signs partnership agreements with wine growers who have chosen organic viticulture. Acclaimed both for his major talents as a varietal assembler and his boldness and creativity, Bertrand and his teams promote the excellence of wines from the South of France all over the world.
