No one who knows Doug Keipper would ever characterize him as conventional, and his vocational path certainly bears that out. With a firmly-established career of over three decades in banking and finance -- including fifteen years as a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist -- Doug refused to rest on his laurels, deciding instead to pursue his Master of Business Administration degree at the tender age of 54. Despite the enormity of the undertaking, Doug pursued it with the same vigor he’d applied to his financial services career, graduating from Bellevue University at the age of 58 with a 3.47 GPA and an MBA diploma tucked under his arm.The empowering experience inspired Doug to share not only his story, but the stories of others who had followed a similar path. Culling instructional and galvanizing tales from friends, colleagues, and industry professionals, Doug compiled these comeback stories into his first book, MBA at 58, a motivational collection designed to encourage others in their quest to become the best that they can be. A native of Huntington and Fort Wayne, Indiana, Doug Keipper currently lives in the sunny south on Lake Oconee, Georgia. He works in risk management for a community bank. He and his wife of 31 years, Nan, have two daughters, Rachel and Rebecca (both University of Georgia graduates and now successful professionals), and a brown mutt rescue dog named Buddy. Doug enjoys tennis, water skiing, volunteering for his church, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and sunset boat rides with friends on Lake Oconee.
