In 2018, Reece Hignell was a contestant on MasterChef Australia’s 10th season. Then in 2020 due to his popularity, he returned to MasterChef to compete in the ＂Back to Win＂ season. Reece competed alongside Australian TV cooking royalty and finished in the Top 5. During this season, Reece expanded his loyal following and touched the hearts of people around the world by cooking an array of his nan’s old school treats.

Following MasterChef, Reece has expanded his business and created a commercial bakery known as Cakeboi. Reece has represented Gelitissimo with a national brand release and connected in many brand partnerships including, Sydney’s Marriot Hotel, IKEA Australia, Kenwood, Vitamix Australia and Dan Murphys. Reece has also participated in many food fairs such as, Gourmet Escape, Living Smart Sustainability Fair and hosted Maitland’s Aroma Festival. He lives in Newcastle, Australia.
