I've lived in Taiwan for almost 20 years, and this is the first time I've ever seen a picture book about it that does this lovely country justice! The personification of the island is creative and adorable, and the theme of each letter thoroughly represents Taiwan's daily life and culture.
I do wish that the pictures could have been more stylistically cohesive and matched the tone of the text more, but overall, it is a very solid effort and a fun read!
