This is exactly what I am looking for - a question books for N5-N4. The book has 653 pages and is divided into 4 sections. So far I have tried the first 3 and really enjoying it. There are tricky questions that you really need to pay attention to. For the comprehension part, the very short piece has only one question which makes you read a lot. For the listening, I didn't download from the app but used the CD instead. I am yet to do the question but just listening to one track it sounds very professional. Looking forward to doing the rest of the book.

I didn't give the book 5 stars because I have tried less than 200 pages and I would like to have furigana for all the kanji in the questions (of course apart from where it will give the answer out). Thanks.

I was going to buy みんなのにほんご advance II and the exercise book at first but then I discovered 先生on youtube and knew he also written books. I immediately bought this one and the middle level one instead of みんなのにほんご.
Together with 先生's video I felt like I learned more in two weeks than in one year. The MP3 is also very good as it contains many conversations and sample sentences. I also like the layout as it leaves a lot of empty space for writing your own notes.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I was expecting more exercises but it has only 'translation' exercise for a complete sentence rather than some multiple choice or fill in the blank.

I have studied Japanese for over a year and found I constantly got things wrong. I discover 先生on youtube and bought his 3 books. This one in particular is a must have on your table (no, don't put in on your book shelf cos you will be using it a lot, at least me). I must say for some grammar explanation it helps more if you watch 先生's video after all self study is not that easy. Having said that, generally it is easy to digest and is written very clearly and concisely with so many examples.
And the cartoons in the book also help :)
