一位精神科医师的短篇个案分享,看过几本类似的书,最喜欢的是 maybe you should talk to someone 和 the devil you know.
love love love domestic thrillers. husband and wife with a falling apart marriage go to a remote house for a weekend getaway trying to make things work again but it seems the house is being watched or even haunted. a little scarier than my usual reads but in a good way. makes me wonder if i’ll be able to read some horror one day. the plot twist and reveal at the end is so clever. definitely want to read more from feeney
i was skeptical about the title. i thought it was provocative and a cheap joke. i was wrong. turned out i was also glad her mom died.
the reading experience feels like a Hollywood version of Educated in all the best ways. i admire the author for how restrained yet stirring and raw her writing is. i love that it ended at the beginning of her recovery journey. it made me reminisce on all the stories leading up to it. i feel so tender towards her and can't imagine the journey she must have taken to get where she is now. wishing all the best things for her.
