Unit 2 教室在哪呢？

剛到新的學校，迷路是家常便飯，在大學中甚至就算都已經入學兩年了還是一樣會找不到教室。在這個單元，我們來學學如何「Where」來造問句吧！

用套的學關鍵句型    

套用句型1
The classroom is _____________ .    
教室在__________。
在學問句前，我們先從簡單的直述句開始學起。在畫線的地方填入教室所在的位置吧！記得要使用適當的介系詞，可以看看下面的例子。想說說其他的地方在哪裡，就在「The classroom」中改放入其他地方的名稱即可，如：「My house is __________.」（我家在……）
The classroom is→on the second floor . （在二樓。at=介系詞）
→behind the office .（在辦公室後面。behind=介系詞）
→in that building .（在那棟大樓裡。in=介系詞）

Where is the classroom?
接下來，我們來試試把原本的直述句改成問句吧！步驟有以下五個：
1. 先寫出剛剛學的直述句「教室在二樓」」。
The classroom is on the second floor.

2. 把is移到句子的最前面。
is the classroom on the second floor.

3. 你會問這個問題，就表示不知道教室在哪裡，所以也不知道教室在二樓這個訊息，因此把「在二樓」拿掉。
is the classroom.

4. 在最前面加上Where。
Where is the classroom.

5. 把最後的句號改成問號，就是一個Where問句啦！
Where is the classroom?

找教室，母語人士想的跟你不一樣？
當你想問：「用走的過去要多久？」時……
不要說：How far is it by walking?
要說：How far is it?
為什麼呢？其實，無論是用走的、跑的還是開車到目的地，都一樣遠不是嗎？所以問「用走的要多遠」就很奇怪了。除了拿掉「by walking」，直接問有多遠以外，也可以問：How long does it take to walk there? （用走的過去要多遠？）
