Sam Proctor’s enthusiasm for film was sparked at a relatively early age in the cinemas of the South Wales valleys by a mother with a love for adventure films and a father who was a big fan of westerns and sci-fi. During her teenage years, an enthusiasm for the visual arts in general led to a seeking-out of film perhaps outside the sphere of interest of the average teenager, including a particular love of the glorious Technicolor productions of the 1940s and 50s. She currently lives in Newport, South Wales, UK, with a black cat.
