On receiving his Bachelor of Arts in UCLA’s Film and Television department, Daniel Benton began writing on the television series POLICEWOMAN, starring Angie Dickinson, followed by PAPER CHASE, DYNASTY, JAKE AND THE FATMAN, and Disney’s ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND, for which he received an Emmy nomination. In independent film, Daniel wrote NUDITY REQUIRED, starring Julie Newmar and Brad Zutaut, L.A. GODDESS, with Kathy Shower, LETHAL GAMES, starring Frank Stallone and Brenda Vaccaro, TO THE ENDS OF TIME, with Joss Ackland, and, more recently, horror thrillers NEAR DEATH, then JACK HAMMER MASSACRE and THE REVOLTING DEAD, both starring Aaron Gaffey, and action thriller SPECIAL OPS: DELTA FORCE, with Bruce Davison and directed by Cole McKay. Daniel’s producing credits began on L.A. GODDESS, then executive producer, writer, and producer on NEAR DEATH. THE REVOLTING DEAD followed, which he executive produced and co-wrote with director Michael Su. Next came MY DEMON WITHIN, again with Aaron Gaffey and directed by Michael Su, and participation in HARD SUN, directed by Canyon Prince, and RUN LIKE HELL, directed by James Thomas. Future projects include PORNOPHOBIA, a horror thriller about zombies in adult entertainment, and BLOODBATH ON TERROR STREET, a mobsters vs terrorists thriller.
