But with the strength of family and the guidance of key mentors on the streets and on the court, he pushed past lethal odds to endure and thrive.

Carmelo Anthony is a professional basketball player currently playing for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association. He has been named an NBA All-Star ten times and an All-NBA Team member six times. Anthony has played in the Olympics for the US National team four times, winning a bronze medal in 2004, and gold in 2008, 2012, and 2016, making him the most decorated NBA player in United States history.
