Ashamed - Teen Girls’ Bible Study Book: Fighting Shame with the Word of God

We all have a shame reel--a constant loop of memories of things we’d rather forget, whether from things we did or things done to us. Shame keeps us trapped in an endless cycle of striving and failing. Shame keeps us focused on ourselves and what we’ve done rather than Jesus and what He has done--what He’s still doing within us. We can go from feeling like we’re doing just fine on our own to being absolutely, hopelessly devastated by shame. But we weren’t made to live like this. Jesus moves us from death to life, from despair to hope, and from shame to freedom. Together, we can discover the truth about shame, about us, and about how Jesus makes everything better.

In this 6-session study from Scarlet Hiltibidal, teen girls will discover how to move beyond shame to the joy-inducing, peace-producing thrill that comes from a relationship with Jesus. We were made to live in the light because Jesus experienced shame in our place.
