Ashwini A. Waoo, PhD, is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, FLS&T, at AKS University in Satna M.P., India. She has over 15 years of academic and research experience and has published more than 25 research papers in international journals. She is also a reviewer for several journals. Dr. Waoo was honored with a Women Researcher Award at the 1st International Scientist Awards in Engineering, Science and Medicine, organized by the VD Good Association in Chennai, India. She has done a major University Grants Commission research project and has supervised several PhD students and has overseen over 100 dissertations at the under- and postgraduate levels. She was recently appointed a Bentham Ambassador to India for Bentham Science journals. She is also an academic coordinator of postgraduate biotechnology courses, coordinator on academic committees, and a member of training and placement cells. Dr. Waoo’s credentials include a doctorate, GATE, CSIR-NET Life Science, MPhil (Biotechnology), and MSc (Biotechnology) along with IIT-Bombay and SWAYAM certifications. She earned a young scientist’s scholarship from the MP Council of Science and Technology.
