Nancy Liao, MD, FAAP, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine (OSU COM) and the associate division chief of the Division of Hospital Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). She is also the program director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program at NCH. Dr. Liao serves as an expert educator, director of pediatric 4th year rotations and the pediatric clinical track at OSU COM. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. Dr. Liao is involved with many national societies focused on medical education and her research interests include medical education, quality improvement, and the second victim phenomenon.

Rebecca Scherzer, MD, is a professor of pediatrics at OSU COM and the section chief of the Division of Allergy and Immunology at NCH. Dr. Scherzer has devoted much of her career to medical education. She is the program director of the combined OSUCOM/NCH Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program. Dr. Scherzer is also the director of medical student education at NCH. She is also involved in many national societies both within the field of allergy and immunology and ones focused on medical education. Her clinical interests include treating infants, children and adolescents with allergic rhinitis, asthma and food allergy. In addition, she has a focus on treating children with primary immunodeficiency disorders.

John D. Mahan, MD, is a professor of pediatrics in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at NCH and OSU COM. He is also director of NCH’s Center for Faculty Development. His clinical and research interests include growth failure in children with chronic kidney disease, treatments of glomerular disorders, and emerging therapies for metabolic bone disorders in children. Dr. Mahan is also engaged in advancing medical education through innovative teaching methods and efforts to develop evidence based medical education, particularly as co-director of the Pediatric Resident Burnout - Resilience Study Consortium. Dr. Mahan is senior editor for the OSU COM’s Faculty Development for Medical Educators Online Platform. He serves as treasurer for the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA) and co-chair of the IPNA Professional Education Committee. He is a founding member and president of the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium. He also is former board chair and now member of the Medical Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation serving Central Ohio.

Sanghamitra Moulik Misra, MD, MEd, FAAP, ABIHM is a professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is an integrative pediatrician with a passion for serving vulnerable populations such as immigrants and refugees. Dr. Misra is the medical director of the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program which provides comprehensive healthcare to under-resourced children. She directs the Texas Children’s Hospital Integrative Medicine Program which focuses on research and education on complementary and integrative therapies in pediatrics. Dr. Misra is additionally the pediatric clerkship course director for Baylor College of Medicine and the executive committee chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section on Integrative Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include integrative medicine, immunizations, underserved care, refugee health, and medical education.

Jocelyn Huang Schiller, MD is a professor of pediatrics at the University of Michigan Medical School. She is the director for pediatric medical student education and assistant director of the clinical year. Additionally, she teaches in the medical school Doctoring course and serves as a coach for students. Dr. Schiller is a national leader in medical student education through the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric Hospital Medicine, providing clinical care to newborns and inpatients at Mott’s Children’s Hospital.
