Investigates the effects of Yogasanas on the motor fitness of district-level cricket players. Yogasanas; a set of ancient yoga postures and exercises; have gained popularity for their potential to improve physical and mental well-being. In the context of cricket; motor fitness; including agility; balance; coordination; and flexibility; plays a vital role in enhancing performance and preventing injuries.
The research will involve a group of district-level cricket players who will undergo a structured Yogasanas intervention over a specified period. Pre and post-intervention assessments will be conducted to measure changes in motor fitness parameters. The study aims to provide empirical evidence on the influence of Yogasanas on the players’ agility; balance; and overall motor performance; which may impact their on-field abilities and overall athletic potential.
The findings of this study could have significant implications for cricket players; coaches; and fitness trainers by highlighting the potential benefits of integrating Yogasanas into training regimens. If Yogasanas are found to be effective in improving motor fitness; they could be incorporated as a supplementary training modality to enhance the players’ overall physical readiness and ultimately optimize their cricketing performance.
